On Sunday, July the 10th Sāmaneras Santamano and Thanavaro of Amaravati Monastery, Ven. Appamatto and Sāmanera Thaniyo of Chithurst Monastery, and Sāmanera Bodhinando of Aruna Ratanagiri Monastery will formally request entry into the Bhikkhu Sangha (monks’ order). They will take upasampada (full ordination) as bhikkhus with Ajahn Amaro acting as preceptor. Please note that this ceremony will take place at Chithurst Buddhist Monastery, probably in the early afternoon.
Also on this day, Anagārika Wei-sen of Amaravati Monastery will formally request sāmanera pabbajjā (novice ordination). Everyone is most welcome to attend and witness these auspicious events.
