Looking Ahead Newsletter Autumn 2016

Amaravati WebmasterNewsletters

The Autumn 2016 issue of Looking Ahead, Amaravati’s quarterly newsletter is now available.

A year ago, Looking Ahead included the plans for Aroga Kuti, the first of the buildings being put up under the Amaravati long-term development plan. The building work for the kuti is now nearing completion, and we wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the project. If all goes well, the plan is to have guided tours of the site on the Kathina day (November 6) for anyone interested in having a look.

As many of our regular visitors will now be aware, we are looking forwards to a visit by our founding teacher, Luang Por Sumedho in May of 2017. As part of his visit, there will be an open retreat from May 12-19, a rare opportunity to hear Luang Por Sumedho teach in Europe.

Also in this issue are the dates for all the retreats being held at the Amaravati Retreat Centre during 2017. This includes monastic-led retreats, ALBA, Buddhist Women’s Network and Family Events.
